Dupuy Avenue Street Improvement Project to start Monday, April 15, 2019

Dupuy Avenue Street Improvement Project began on Monday, April 15, 2019

The Department of Public Works announced that construction work on Dupuy Avenue from River Road in Chesterfield County to Battery Place began on Monday, April 15th. The improvements consist of new/reconstructed travel lanes with center turn lane, water line relocation, storm drain system, sidewalks and curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces.  The work is expected to be complete by July 2020. 

All work will be done daily during the hours of 8AM to 5PM.  Intermittent lane closures will occur while the work is in progress.  Side streets and driveways will remain open during construction operations and all lanes will be reopened for nighttime use.  Motorists are advised to use extra caution while driving through the work zones, obeying all traffic control and are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.

DETOUR ROUTE BELOW (Phase I): The approved traffic plan for Dupuy Avenue Street Improvements Phase I is in effect from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise noted. The pattern will be active from April 17, 2019 through July 15, 2019.  the Traffic Plan is subject to change based on construction sequence.
