New Hurricane Florence Emergency Update: September 13, 2018

Sep 13, 2018 Hurricane Florence UpdateThe City of Colonial Heights has discussed the most recent decrease in projected impact of Hurricane Florence.  Normal City Operations will resume as of 5pm on Thursday, September 13th.  The City has decided both the Emergency Operations Center and City Shelters will not be opened for this storm.  Estimated winds and rainfall projections have decreased from yesterday but the City will continue to monitor for any changes.  If the need arises we will resume emergency operations and inform the public of the change. 

  • For an Emergency: Please call 911.
  • For a Non-Emergency: Please resume using the non-emergency dispatch phone number (804) 520-9300.  
  • Citizens Assistance number (804)520-9266 will resume normal operation and will not be regularly monitored after business hours starting at 5pm on Thursday September 13th
  • Power Outages should be reported to Dominion Virginia Power by calling 1-866-366-4357. 
  • City Shelter: The City has no plans to open a shelter at this time.
