Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that at the Colonial Heights Planning Commission meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2021; and the City Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the Planning Commission and City Council shall each hold a public hearing to accept comments on the following:
To amend § 286-410.62 of Chapter 286, Zoning, of the Colonial Heights City Code to authorize the operation of mobile food units on a less restrictive basis. The ordinance provides that: (1) After a site’s property owner or tenant files the appropriate application with the Department of Planning and Community Development, the Department Director may issue a permit authorizing the operation of one or more mobile food units on the site for up to three months. (2) The application shall be accompanied by a payment of $100. (3) The permit may be renewed one or more times at the Director’s discretion. (4) Mobile food units shall not operate between 10:00PM and 6:00AM of any day, and each mobile food unit shall be on the site only when it is open for business.

All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearings of the Planning Commission and the City Council, to be held at the times and place stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.
