Real Estate Tax Bills have been mailed (Due on Monday, May 17th, 2021)

Real Estate Tax Bills have been mailed

Real Estate Tax Bills were mailed to all property owners on Friday, April 30.  Real Estate taxes are due this year on Monday, May 17.

Bills will be sent to all property owners, including those who have mortgages where the taxes are paid by an escrow account.  If your taxes are paid by the mortgage holder, please contact your mortgage holder to ensure the City taxes are being paid.

The three large mortgage processors were unable to send their lists of accounts to the City in time for loading, thus delaying the bills until a decision was made to send bills to all owners.  The bills will also have a new look this year as they were produced with the City’s new financial system.

As we have in prior years, the City does still send all Real Estate accounts to the largest mortgage processing companies for payment, and most escrow payments are processed from that information.  In other words, most larger financial institutions have received your tax bill electronically, and if you are with the same mortgagor as last fall, your bill will likely be paid automatically.  We still encourage residents to double check their statements or contact their banks to ensure the payment is made on time.

If you have questions, please contact the Billing and Collections Department at 520-9320.  We appreciate your patience during this busy time and assure you all messages will be returned.
