"If you build it, will they come?" We can answer, "If you build biking and walking trails, they WILL come," with a resounding "YES" because of volunteers like you who count people walking and biking on the Appomattox River Trail.
WHAT ARE TRAIL COUNTS?
Trail Counts are important biannual counts conducted along the Appomattox River Trail. Supported by volunteers like you, this effort gathers vital data about biking and walking activity to improve planning and design of future trails for all of us to use.
HOW IT WORKS.
Volunteers choose a day/time (or two) and location(s) from the list of sites and then count and document the number of people walking and biking along their trail section for a 2-hour period.
