Overview of Division

The Uniform Patrol Division falls under the purview of the Operations Division Commander. The Division is comprised of thirty-five sworn officers divided amongst four squads. Each squad consists of a lieutenant, sergeant, and patrol officers. Squad personnel provide police protection 24/7 working twelve hour shifts.

Services Provided

Uniform Patrol officers provide a myriad of services to our community. Some of their responsibilities include; responding to calls for service, enforcing state and local criminal and traffic laws, conducting investigations, processing evidence, testifying in court, proactively identifying and addressing quality of life issues and concerns, and providing general guidance for citizen inquiries.

Partnerships

The department has a strong belief in building partnerships with the citizenry, other City departments, business leaders, civic organizations, and other criminal justice agencies. These relationships are critical in order for the department to provide the best, multi dimensional, services as possible.
