If you have, any information related to the malicious burning of property in Virginia, Virginia Chapter of the IAAI wants to award you. Any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crime of arson could receive up to $5,000 dollars depending on the information submitted, assistance given, timeliness of given information, and risk taken by the caller. Information provided may be kept confidential.
The Virginia Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention and / or the International Association of Arson Investigator – Virginia Chapter to pay an informant prior to an arrest, will make no promise. Nor does any agency in the state have the right to promise an informant that he or she will be paid. The program is voluntary and any law enforcement or fire official who feels the award will hinder the case in any way can simply choose not to participate.
